Image to PDF under 1MB (realistic steps)

Photo-heavy PDFs blow past 1MB quickly. You can still hit many portal caps by starting with fewer pixels before conversion, then compressing once—not by expecting magic “exact 1MB” buttons.

Workflow

1. In your phone gallery, crop borders and avoid 4K if the form only needs readable text.
2. Image to PDF — front/back order matters for IDs.
3. Compress PDF — start Balanced, then Email if still over ~1MB.
4. If still oversized, Split PDF and send only required pages.
5. Check file size on disk and zoom to 100% on the smallest text line.
