For many tools (merge, split, compress, lots of edits), everything happens in your browserānothing is uploaded. Office-style conversions (PDF ā Word, Excel, PowerPoint) need a server step: we send the file over HTTPS to our backend, convert it, then delete it from our side. We donāt keep a library of user uploads.
The site loads over HTTPS. Browser-only tools never send your file off the device. When a job runs on our servers, the transfer is encrypted and we donāt retain the file after the download is ready. You donāt need an account to use the tools. We donāt ask for your name or email to convert a PDF. We still use normal web mechanisms (e.g. analytics, ads, error logs) to run the siteāthose can see coarse traffic patterns, not the text inside your documents when processing stays in the browser.
No watermarks on outputs. No account required. The usual limits are practical onesāper-file size caps so the browser and servers stay stableānot a paywall.
Limits vary by tool (the upload area shows the cap). Very large PDFs can choke the browser or time out on the serverāif something fails, try compressing first or splitting into smaller parts.
In-browser tools often feel instant. Server conversions depend on page count, images, and how busy things areāseconds for a small file, longer for a heavy deck or a huge scan. If itās taking ages, check your connection and file size.

Processing time depends on file size, complexity, and the type of operation. Large files, files with many pages, or complex operations like OCR may take longer. If processing seems stuck, try refreshing the page and uploading the file again.
Yesāthe tools themselves are free to use. We may show ads to cover hosting and development; that doesnāt unlock āpremiumā features here because weāre not gating the converters behind payment.
Thereās no credit system or daily quota on our side. Fair use still applies: giant files or automation that hammers the service may hit technical limits or blocksāsame as any free web app.
